Dr. Carolyn C. Klaus, M.D.

Carolyn Klaus is a board-certified internist who became skilled in the care of AIDS patients in a Philadelphia inner-city clinic that she founded. Her book Prescription for Hope describes those early days at Esperanza Health Center, which years later still flourishes. She has used this experience in several AIDS-affected countries, teaching and consulting in medical schools, universities, churches, and community-based organizations.
