Transcripts

Transcripts

Transcripts are the official means of verifying the completion of courses and conferral of degrees.  Transcripts contain details such as course titles, units attempted, and final grades for each term of attendance at ISOM. Credit hours earned through transfer work and exams are not listed in detail. There is a fee for each official transcript and unofficial transcript. Official transcripts bear the official seal of the University.

E-Transcript Electronic PDF via email

ISOM is now offering transcripts in an electronic PDF format. Students can send electronic transcripts to any valid email address (e.g., another college or university, or third-party recipient).

Electronic transcripts are official transcripts. If you need your transcript quickly, it is highly recommended that you choose the electronic transcript option as the delivery of a paper transcript can take up to 5-7 business days depending on the mail delivery service. Please be aware that when sending an electronic transcript to yourself, it cannot then be forwarded to a different email address. Forwarding an e-transcript makes it unofficial. If your transcript is going to a third party, you should have it sent directly to their email address to ensure that the transcript will still be considered an official document.

What is an Official Transcript?

An official transcript is a comprehensive record of your ISOM academic progress, including coursework, grades, and degrees earned. Credit hours earned through transfer work and exams are not listed in detail but do appear as cumulative totals.

When do I need an Official Transcript?

Students request an official transcript when they are transferring to another institution, applying to graduate school, applying for an internship, or applying for a scholarship.

When do I need an Unofficial Transcript?

You may request an Unofficial Transcript whenever you need to review your entire academic history, including all courses and grades taken at ISOM. In addition, the Unofficial Transcript provides term and cumulative GPA.

What is an electronic transcript?

An electronic transcript is an official transcript that is available online via email. You order the transcript as you would any other transcript, however, an email address is provided rather than a postal address.  The recipient receives an email with the transcript directly from ISOM.

Note: Electronic transcripts remain official only in their original electronic format.

Official electronic transcripts cost $12.48 each. Official printed transcripts cost $12.48 each; plus shipping.

Unofficial electronic transcripts cost $6.24 each. Unofficial printed transcripts cost $6.24 each; plus shipping.

How long will it take to process my request for an official electronic transcript?

Requests are normally processed within one business day, except during peak times of high volume or when records require additional handling. Your request may be delayed if you have a financial hold or you have not completed all the necessary coursework.
