Sessions

1. The Priority, Purpose, and Portrayal of Worship

In Session 1, under the guidance of LaMar Boschman, participants will explore “The Priority, Purpose, and Portrayal of Worship.” The session delves into the significance of worship in the eyes of the Lord, emphasizing the responsibility of every believer to prioritize it in their lives. Covering the priority of worship in Scripture, the Church, and Jesus’ teachings, the session unfolds the universal call to worship. It highlights worship as a selfless act, motivated by love, obedience, and gratitude for God’s attributes and deeds. Boschman underscores the distinction between worship and other elements, portraying worship as a lifestyle, a result of rebirth, and a personal, individual expression directed solely to God.

2. The Role of Music in the Kingdom of God

In Session 2, Boschman explores “The Role of Music in the Kingdom of God.” The session unveils the purpose of music and the musician’s role in the Kingdom under the cosmic Creator. Participants discover scriptural foundations supporting the use of music as a ministry commanded by God. The multifaceted nature of the ministry of music is explored, from being a conduit of God’s presence to a tool for spiritual warfare, deliverance, and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Boschman illustrates how Kingdom musicians serve as floodgates, bringing forth the river of the Holy Spirit and facilitating the presence of God. The session concludes by highlighting the ministry of teaching God’s Word, evangelism, and the heavenly nature of musical instruments.

3. The Significance of the New Song

In Session 3, Boschman explores “The Significance of the New Song.” The session emphasizes the necessity of spontaneous singing in worship, challenging reliance on pre-written songs. The New Song, the one God desires most, holds supernatural power for individual and collective worship. Participants are encouraged to embrace scriptural instruction to sing “new” songs, recognizing every Christian as inherently a musician. Boschman illustrates God dwelling in the praises, emphasizing the transformative power of the New Song. The session unfolds its potency in spiritual warfare, citing victories through song. It explores the Holy Spirit’s role as a singing spirit, desiring expression through believers. With historical presence in revivals, the New Song proves universally relevant, offering a key to intimate worship experiences.

4. Our Responsibility as Worshippers

This session explores our responsibility as worshippers before God. It emphasizes fundamental assumptions, stating that worship is for Christ’s pleasure, and our responsibility is to respond affectionately. The lesson underscores that worship is vital for a relationship with God, not an option. It delves into the importance of intimacy, highlighting Mary and Martha’s example. The text also emphasizes spiritual intensity, urging extreme fervor in prayer and praise. Wholehearted worship is discussed as requiring emotion, excitement, exclaiming, effort, and example, using Jesus and David as models. The session encourages expectant and extravagant worship, challenging worshippers to abandon self-consciousness and embrace genuine expression before God.

5. How to Become a Worshipper

In Session 5, “How to Become a Worshipper,” led by LaMar Boschman, participants explore the essence of worship. True worship emanates from the heart, transcending external elements. Boschman’s personal journey, marked by lifting hands and dancing before the Lord, exemplifies becoming a true worshipper. The focus shifts to the Father desiring worshippers, urging daily self-presentation as living sacrifices. The lesson emphasizes continual, unaffected praise, advocating a decision to praise despite circumstances. Worship, private and public, transcends locations, originating from one’s volition. A true worshipper draws close to God, seeks to please Him in all actions, possessing wholehearted, emotional, expressive, focused, and contagious characteristics. The ultimate revelation is that a broken spirit becomes a pleasing sacrifice to God.
