Sessions

1. Jesus Our Model

Discover the vital Christ Connection for faith. Acts 1:1-4 reveals the Miracle Connection, emphasizing core Christianity. Unpack seven basics of miracle living, mirroring Peter, Paul, and Mary. Acts 1:1-4 bridges Jesus in the Gospels with us, presenting fundamental lessons. Learn principles from the Gospels and Acts to continue Christ’s work. Acknowledge the ongoing responsibility in Acts, stressing believers’ duty to continue Christ’s ministry. Understand God’s love revelation through Jesus, emphasizing preaching Jesus in various contexts. Look to Jesus as the ultimate model, understanding His suffering and endurance, and realize Jesus as God in the flesh.

2. Jesus Our Inspiration

In Session 2: “Jesus Our Inspiration,” delve into the Christ Connection, highlighting Jesus as the crucial link between God and humanity. Anchored in Acts 1:1-4, the lesson underscores Jesus’ approval through miracles, beyond personal faith. Essential ministry principles stress God’s love, belief, interest, trust, and divine connection through truth. Faith and knowledge intertwine, linking Jesus in the Gospels to present-day believers. Avoid pitfalls by grounding in these fundamentals. Conclude by embracing Jesus as our inspiration, representing God in human form, and the liberating truth that believers need not bear what Jesus bore. Themes include the Kingdom of God, Jesus as an example, and the transformative power of repentance and restoration, providing a holistic view of faith

3. Our Response
Session 3, “Our Response,” delves into the transformative power of understanding God’s plan revealed in Acts 1:1-4. The lessons highlight crucial principles: Jesus’ ministry, sacrifice, resurrection, and believers sharing the Gospel. Participants are challenged with the question, “What brings out God’s best in you?” Emphasis is on knowing God’s plan, finding one’s role, and responding positively. T.L. Osborn’s testimony underscores the impact of grasping God’s plan, leading to personal growth and active Gospel sharing. The session stresses the vital role of responding to God’s call, becoming vessels for His message, and fulfilling His plan individually.
4. Action

Discover God’s choice of believers for action in Acts 1:1-4. Acknowledge your dignity and courage as part of the 120 apostles. Understand God’s trust in you, leading to responsibility through gained knowledge. Embrace your connection with God through Jesus for His work and sharing the Gospel. Jesus promises perpetual presence, affirming your special role. Recognize these teachings apply to women, challenging traditional interpretations. Grasp global reconciliation by Christ and ponder the trust God places in you for impactful action. Witness transformational truths that changed the speaker’s life and Paul’s proactive role in God’s plan

5. Our Credibility

Session 5 of the Christ Connection underscores the transformative link between Jesus and today’s believers, exploring lessons on modeling, inspiration, response, and action. Credibility is central, anchored in the resurrection (Acts 1:3). The session distinguishes Christianity from ritualistic religions, emphasizing its essence as a vibrant life rather than a mere ritual. Anecdotes illustrate the Gospel’s power globally, from Muslims in China to a healed leper in India. Prospective students are encouraged to embrace their role as witnesses of the resurrection, wielding the potent message of Christianity.

6. Our Legality

In Session 6, explore our profound connection to God through Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Rooted in Acts 1:1-4, this session acts as a bridge between Jesus and believers, emphasizing the resurrection power in our Christian witness. Beyond tongues, this power enables interpreting Jesus, representing the Father, and continuing His work. Credibility to Muslims rests on the continual manifestation of Jesus’ power. Historical examples, like John Alexander Dowie, underscore the need for miracles in global evangelism. Encouraging believers to think big, the session concludes by emphasizing our legality in the Jesus ministry, supported by the Kingdom of God, Christ’s reign through believers, and His ransom. This empowers believers to recognize their legal authority, affirming Jesus’ enduring impact.

7. Experience

In Session 7 of Christ Connection, participants explore the pivotal revelation of the Christ Connection in the New Testament, crucial for understanding redemption and the Gospel. The lesson, centered on Acts 1:1-4, emphasizes preaching that encompasses God’s creation, Satan’s deception, Christ’s substitution, and our restoration. From the origins of creation to redemption’s resolution, each element is intricately woven into the fabric of understanding. The review highlights key lessons from Acts, focusing on Jesus as a model, inspiration, and catalyst for action. The session concludes with a powerful exploration of personal experiences, challenging participants to embrace the boundless potential encapsulated in the word “possible,” drawing inspiration from transformative visions and a commitment to emulate Jesus in miraculous endeavors.

About the Instructor

Christ Connection
Dr. T.L. Osborn

Tommy Lee “T.L.” Osborn was a world missionary, evangelist, teacher, author, best known for his mass-miracle ministry to millions. Over six decades, he became a prominent figure in the Christian landscape, hosting the acclaimed television program Good News Today.

Born on December 23, 1923, on a family potato farm in Grady County, Oklahoma, Osborn was the youngest of thirteen children. Growing up amidst the challenges of the Great Depression, he discovered his passion for music at an early age, playing the accordion and piano. Osborn’s journey took a pivotal turn when, at the age of 13, he experienced a profound Christian conversion in a Pentecostal church, setting the stage for his lifelong commitment to evangelism.

In 1939, at the age of 15, Osborn embarked on his calling as an evangelist, traveling with E.M. Dillard and organizing evangelistic meetings. His fervor for spreading the Gospel led him to meet his future wife, Daisy Washburn, in 1941. They married in 1942 and began a life of ministry and missionary travel, venturing as far as India when Osborn was just 21.

With his wife Daisy Washburn Osborn, they established their headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1949. Together they proclaimed the Gospel to millions of unreached people in over 90 nations for well over half a century of world-changing missionary-evangelism, preaching daily to multitudes from 20,000 to 300,000 people with God confirming his word by many astounding miracles.

The Osborns gained public recognition on the Big Tent Revival circuit, preaching to large audiences with a distinct emphasis on the love and compassion of God. Their approach, which prioritized healing and eschewed the fire-and-brimstone theology, set them apart from their contemporaries. The couple’s egalitarian ministry philosophy faced resistance from conservative audiences, but they persevered, eventually expanding their focus to international missions in Latin America, Asia, and Africa.

Dr. Osborn was the first missionary evangelist to go to open fields or parks, in non-Christian nations, to proclaim Christ and to pray for miracles as proof that He is alive. Today it has become standard procedure. The Osborn DocuMiracle films and videos in 70 languages have been shown in thousands of villages and towns in one hundred and fifteen nations, influencing millions to believe the Gospel. The Osborn National Missionary Assistance Program has sponsored over 30,000 national men and women as full time Missionaries to unevangelized tribes and villages. Over 150,000 new churches have been established and have become self-supporting through this evangelism program.

As a prolific writer, Dr. T.L. Osborn’s books have stimulated today’s worldwide miracle-evangelism and Soulwinning awakening in the developing nations. His classic, Healing the Sick, has been a faith-building best seller since 1951, and over one million copies are in print in English alone.

Several of Dr. T.L.’s books such as Soulwinning, God’s Love Plan, The Good Life and especially The Message That Works, are pacesetters in lifting people to positive faith and super living. They have become textbooks in Bible Schools around the world and are esteemed as prime reference material for successful pastors and church leaders.

Osborn went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2013, at the age of 89.

Bishop Dr. LaDonna Osborn continues to operate the ministry founded by her parents, including leading international crusades in the developing world every year.
